Anathema by ka tucker6/29/2023 In a world where everyone has motive to lie for personal gain, Evangeline must decide which deception is least likely to get her killed. She slowly unravels the mystery surrounding Sofie and friends, and the reality of the bites and the “dreams.” What she discovers is far more mysterious and terrible than anything she could have imagined. When she wakes up with bite marks on her neck, the fairy tale quickly turns into a nightmare. She's even willing to dismiss her vivid dreams of mob-style murders, beautiful homeless people living in caves, and white-eyed demons that haunt her each night as figments of her imagination - especially when one of those figments is the gorgeous Caden. She has voiced television and radio commercials and won AudioFile Earphones Awards and two Audie. like Sofie's erratic and sometimes violent behavior, and the monstrous guard dogs. Khristine Hvam studied acting for the theater and film. With such generosity and kindness, it's easy for Evangeline to dismiss certain oddities. Willing to do anything to keep it, she accepts a job as Sofie's assistant and drops everything to fly to Manhattan, where she is thrust into a luxurious world of Prada, diamonds, and limitless cash. When Evangeline meets Sofie after literally stumbling upon her café, she believes she's found that connection. About to turn eighteen and feeling like a social pariah, she is desperate to connect with someone. Her foster parents have the emotional aptitude of robots and her classmates barely acknowledge her existence. Evangeline has spent her teenage years in obscurity.

These deadly games by diana urban6/28/2023 It was kind of creepy but showed that although selfish and stubborn, she wasn't making moves just to push the story along, they made sense with who she was even if the decision was the absolutely wrong one. My favourite part of Crystal and could be yours too is that every time I wondered why she hadn't considered something, within a page or two, she was analysing the scenario the way I considered. This is like the trolly problem, to save one do you sacrifice five or to save five do you sacrifice one, except the one is your sister and the five are your friends? How she projects her emotions is valid within the scope of a YA and is why she makes a good protagonist. Crystal puts herself first because she is selfish her need to save her sister trumps her friends needs. I appreciate a flawed character and multiple flawed characters? Yes please, especially when they are selfish.

Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch lead the cast with Blake Lively as the girl, Uma Thurman as her mother, Salma Hayek as the leader of the cartel, Benicio Del Toro as her main enforcer, John Travolta as a burnt-out DEA agent, Demian Bichir as a double-crossing attorney who represents Hayek’s cartel, Joel David Moore as a computer nerd and Emile Hirsch in an unnamed role. ‘The Kings of Cool’ is vintage Don Winslow. A starry cast has been assembled to tell the story of Ben and Chon, a pair of Laguna Beach drug dealers forced to work for a Mexican cartel after the girl they share, O, is kidnapped. Winslow has been very involved in the adaptation of his best selling book, teaming with Stone and writer Shane Salerno on the screenplay. In Savages, Don Winslow introduced Ben and Chon, twentysomething best friends who risk everything to save the girl they both love, O.
